P

after the bermuda bowl,
the european title!

After winning the Bermuda Bowl last year, NORWAY confirmed their dominance on the world of bridge, dethroning Italy for the first time in 13 years!

FRANCE had no difficulty to retain their European women title they had won in Warsaw 06; they are now just one title short of Great Britain/England in the race of European women titles.

The great surprise of the Championships was the first ever team medal won by TURKEY. Playing with 4 players only, the Turkish team ended on top of a record field that included all strong contenders.

The 49th edition of the European Team Championships was held with great success in the picturesque town of Pau, up in the Pyrenees and near France's border with Spain. Pau was also the venue for FFB's 75th anniversary celebrations.
